Bloodworks has partnered with Forestmatic and Blood Centers of America to plant a tree for each blood donation during the week of Thanksgiving. Trees are planted in Uganda in a historic deforestation hotspot.
Each blood donation will save lives at our local hospitals and support the global environment.

Donors are encouraged to give blood during a historically challenging time, when many people may be out of town. Help us reach our goal of 5,000 trees planted and a safe and reliable blood supply during the holiday week!

How it works:

• Sign up to give blood at any donor center or blood drive.
• At registration, you will receive a card that includes a unique Tree ID and instructions to find your tree on the Forestmatic website.
• Your Tree ID will lead to the map where your tree is planted, a picture of the tree, and the local farmer who planted it.
