Curt Bailey, MBA

President & CEO | Bloodworks

Curt joined Bloodworks Northwest after 20 years in management consulting. Curt was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he was a leader in the firm’s healthcare practice and based in Seattle. Curt has advised a variety of healthcare companies across the United States with an emphasis on serving non-profit, community-based, and academic healthcare institutions. Curt’s work spanned strategy, operational improvement, and organizational health, and he has published in leading journals, such as the Harvard Business Review. Prior to joining McKinsey, Curt served as a Captain and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned his MBA from Yale University and his BA from Tufts University. Curt has lived with his family in the Seattle area since 2002. He is active in the community and has served on the Board of Trustees for a local Montessori school, chaired Yale School of Management’s West Coast Advisory Board, and currently serves on the Board of the Washington Health Alliance.

Janet Campbell

President | Oregon Health Leadership Council

Janet has over twenty-five years of experience in business strategy, operations, and product development, focusing on healthcare, medical equipment design, and technology manufacturing. As President of the Oregon Health Leadership Council, she leads a collaborative organization working to co-create a healthcare system that is equitable, accessible, high-quality, affordable, and sustainable for all people in Oregon. Her professional achievements were recognized when she was named on the 2018 Portland Business Journal “Women of Influence” list, a testament to her impact in the healthcare and philanthropy sectors. Driven by her passion for giving back, Janet has taken on leadership roles in various philanthropic boards. Notably, she is the co-founder of KIZIMANI, a 501(c)(3) (non-profit) that she has initiated and nurtured to offer marginalized communities access to food, water, education, and healthcare. She joined the Bloodworks Board of Trustees in 2024. Janet’s educational journey includes a bachelor’s from the University of Portland and a master’s from Harvard.

Drew Corrigan, CPA

Office Managing Partner | KPMG

Drew is a partner in the Audit practice of KPMG’s Portland office with more than 29 years of experience, primarily in the healthcare and higher education industries. In addition to leading KPMG’s Portland office, he is the partner in charge of its healthcare and life sciences practice covering ten offices in the western United States. Drew also serves as engagement partner for a variety of not-for-profit organizations, including foundations, hospitals, and large multi-hospital health systems. In addition to his audit background, his experience includes transaction due diligence and involvement in many significant financing transactions. Drew participates in various local and national initiatives of KPMG, including the development and delivery of training at firmwide and local Pacific Northwest events, and participating in the firm’s national Quality Performance Review Program. He is an active member in the Oregon and Washington Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) chapters and provides their local Oregon chapter with an annual accounting and audit technical update. Drew was elected to the Bloodworks Board of Trustees in 2023. He formerly served as Board treasurer at CASA for Children and at Bicycle Transportation Alliance in Portland and as a Board member of West Hills Christian School. He earned his BA from Pacific Lutheran University and is a licensed CPA in Oregon and Washington.

Miho Dougherty, MD, MPH

Medical Oncologist/Hematologist | Willamette Valley Cancer Institute

Dr. Miho Teruya Dougherty is a practicing Oncologist/Hematologist at the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute in Eugene, Oregon. Open-minded and caring, she believes in providing patients with personalized care focused on their individual needs. “I want my patients to feel comfortable talking with me about their questions and concerns, feel confident that I understand and respect their goals.” Prior to this, Miho worked as a Hematology/Oncology Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. As a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Oncology, Dr. Dougherty stays up-to-date and is motivated by advancements in the ever-changing field of cancer and care. She is also interested in Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine and is a member of the Blood Utilization Committee at the PeaceHealth hospitals in the Lane County area. She joined the Bloodworks Northwest Board of Trustees in 2021. Miho earned her BA from Boston University, a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Houston and her MD from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Outside of work, Miho enjoys spending time with her family listening to music, going hiking and paddle boarding.

Gene Farrell, MBA

CEO | Vanilla

With over 25 years of executive leadership experience driving transformation and growth across the consumer and technology industries, Gene is a recognized thought leader and innovator known for building disruptive new businesses for global brands. He was named a 2019 Innovator of the Year by the Puget Sound Business Journal. Gene joined Vanilla in 2021 after 4 1/2 years at Smartsheet, where he helped take the company public and scale the business from $100M to over $500M in revenue. As Smartsheet’s Chief Strategy & Product Officer, Gene was responsible for leading company strategy, corporate development, product management, product marketing, experience design, and strategic alliances. Prior to Smartsheet, Gene spent five years at Amazon Web Services where he served as vice president responsible for enterprise computing. In this role, Gene pioneered new cloud businesses including Amazon WorkSpaces and Amazon Chime. Before Amazon, Gene was a vice president at the Coca-Cola Company, where he founded and led the creation of the Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage platform. His groundbreaking work on Coca-Cola Freestyle was recognized by Forbes as one of the best new products of the decade and received the Edison Gold Innovation and Catalyst Design awards. Gene received an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in Atlanta and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle. Gene and his wife, Helen, live in Sammamish. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, cycling, snow skiing, and water sports.

Trevor Gooby

Senior Vice President, Ballpark Operations | Seattle Mariners

Trevor joined the Bloodworks Northwest Board of Trustees in 2021 and has served as its Chair since January of 2024. Trevor was promoted to Sr. Vice President, Ballpark Operations, for the Seattle Mariners in 2017, after joining the organization in 2016.  He oversees all T-Mobile Park maintenance, operations, and capital projects, as well as security, non-baseball events, game day staff, grounds-keeping, and the team’s sustainability operations. Trevor was previously the Pittsburgh Pirates Sr. Director of Operations in Florida and the Dominican Republic, after originally being hired by Pittsburgh in 2004 to oversee the team’s Spring Training operations in Bradenton, Florida.  He began his baseball career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, spending seven years as the GM of the Vero Beach Dodgers, while overseeing baseball operations at Dodgertown.  Trevor was inducted into the Florida State League Hall of Fame in 2020. A native of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Trevor is a 1998 graduate of Emerson College where he received his B.S. in Communication and Media Studies.  He and his wife, Christina, reside in Seattle with their three children.

Christine Henningsgaard

CEO & Co-Founder | Quilted Health

Christine is the CEO and co-founder of Quilted Health, an organization building a new maternity care model backed in evidence, centered in communities, and supported with technology to improve outcomes and reduce disparities in maternal health. Prior to Quilted, Christine was at Amazon, where she was responsible for identifying, developing, and launching new healthcare products and businesses. Most notably, she was a founding team member of Amazon Care – Amazon’s first consumer-facing healthcare service that combined high-tech virtual care and high-touch home care, from concept to launch. Christine spent 15 years as a senior operations executive in healthcare organizations ranging from Series A start-ups to public companies. She was Chief Operating Officer at Hometeam, a VC-backed home care services provider, and served as Head of Operations at One Medical Group, where she led the teams responsible for all marketbased P&Ls, expansion of service offerings, organizational leadership and design, and revenue operations. In the early part of her career, Christine held increasingly senior roles focused in revenue cycle operations, gaining a deep understanding of the payer-provider dynamics and economic drivers in healthcare. She was a Vice President at Accretive Health, a business process outsourcing company. She started her career at Stockamp & Associates, working predominantly with non-profit and academic health systems across risk assessment, organizational design, technology, and workflow implementation. Christine earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and lives in Seattle with her husband and two young boys. They all stay active and are constantly on an adventure, near or far, to find new spots with crabs, skate parks, beaches, and fresh snow.

Kristy Hilden

CHRO, Engineering Test & Technology and IT & Data Analytics | The Boeing Company

Kristy joined the Bloodworks Board of Trustees in 2024. She joined Boeing in 1998, supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes Human Resources and progressed through positions of increasing responsibility to include mergers & acquisitions, HR functional excellence, 737, 747 and 787 programs, and commercial derivative programs in Boeing Defense and Space. She assumed her current role for The Boeing Company in November 2019.  In this position, she is responsible for the development and implementation of workforce and talent strategies and in support of business priorities across the organization of over 65,000 employees. Kristy’s previous role was the director of Human Resources for the 787 Program and Boeing South Carolina, responsible for leading workforce and employee engagement strategies across multiple programs and functions.  Prior to that, she was the director of Human Resources for Airplane Development in Boeing Commercial Airplane, responsible for driving talent management, employee engagement, and workforce strategies for a number of programs. Kristy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and a Master of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. She is married to Mike and has one son.  She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Joyce Jackson

President & CEO Emeritus | Northwest Kidney Centers

Joyce has 37 years of experience in healthcare administration, having served 16 years in administration at Virginia Mason Medical Center and 21 years as President and CEO of the nonprofit Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC) in Seattle, Washington, the world’s first kidney dialysis program. She led NKC through a period of enormous growth and the establishment of the Kidney Research Institute, a collaboration between NKC and UW Medicine. In addition to having served two decades as a successful CEO, Joyce has extensive experience in nonprofit board governance, community collaboration, and fundraising. A graduate of the University of Washington’s Health Administration program (MHA), Joyce holds the title of Clinical Associate Professor in the UW Department of Health Services. She received her BS in speech and hearing from Pennsylvania State University and MS in audiology from Vanderbilt University. Joyce volunteers on several nonprofit boards, including LifeCenter Northwest and University Congregational Church. She joined the Bloodworks Northwest Board of Trustees in 2021. Joyce is an active grandmother of two Seattle-based preschool boys and loves to travel internationally.

Orlando Williams, MBA

Chief Executive & Equity Officer | Motus Recruiting & Staffing

Before founding Motus in 2006, Orlando began his recruiting career as an ambassador for prospective University of Oregon athletes. He also served in a high-profile advocacy role as a player and Community Outreach Ambassador of Goodwill for the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters and as a corporate recruiter at the Nike World Headquarters. Under Orlando’s leadership, Motus is one of the leading recruiting firms in the Pacific Northwest. As one of the few certified Oregon MBE recruiting firms, Motus aims to educate individuals and organizations on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workforce. In 2016, Orlando founded the Oregon Diversity Recruiting Council, which offers strategies and training to recruit, retain, and promote BIPOC candidates in Oregon-based organizations. In addition to his contributions to the community, Orlando was a game analyst for the Portland Trail Blazers. In his spare time, he enjoys Bible study, spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, and reading an endless number of history books. Orlando was elected to the Bloodworks Board of Trustees in 2023.
